1. Introduction:
Conphere (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Conphere mobile application (the “App”).
Conphere is a free companion app for conferences and events, designed to help users register for events, view agendas and content, network, and communicate within the app. The App does not sell digital content, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.
2. Information We Collect:
We collect only the information necessary to provide core app functionality.
a. Personal Information You Provide
- Name (first and last name)
- Email address
- Phone number
Social sign-in: If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and (where provided) profile image from that provider to create or link your account.
b. User-Generated Content
- Feedback and ratings for sessions or speakers
- Free-text input you submit within the app (such as feedback forms or optional descriptions)
c. In-App Messages
- Messages sent and received using the App’s in-app messaging features (1:1 and group chats)
Important: We do not access your device’s email inbox, SMS, or MMS messages. This applies only to messages sent and received inside the Conphere App.
3. How We Use Your Information:
We use your information only to operate and improve the App, including to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Display user identity and profiles within the App
- Enable event participation, agendas, sessions, speakers, and attendee lists
- Deliver in-app messaging and networking features
- Collect and display event feedback
- Send account-related communications (such as verification or password reset)
- Provide customer support and maintain app security
4. Event Registration and Payments:
Event registration: Users register for events by entering a conference or event code in the App. No payment is collected in the App.
Conphere does not process payments and does not offer:
- In-app purchases
- Subscriptions
- Paid digital content
If an event requires a ticket, the ticket is purchased outside the App on the event organizer’s or a third-party website. The App may open these external websites in a web view, but no payment is processed inside the App.
5. Data Sharing:
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information only:
- With service providers who help operate the App (such as hosting, authentication, or messaging), under confidentiality obligations
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect the security and integrity of the App
6. Data Retention:
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:
- Maintain your account
- Provide App features
- Comply with legal obligations
You may request account deletion at any time through the App or by contacting us.
