Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Conphere mobile application for iOS (the “App”), operated by F5A LLC, a company organized under the laws of the State of California, United States (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
About Conphere
Conphere is a free companion app for conferences and events. The App allows users to register for events using an event code, view event information and agendas, network with other attendees, and communicate using in-app messaging.
The App does not sell digital content, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
By using the App, you confirm that:
- You have the legal capacity to use the App
- The information you provide is accurate and up to date
- You will use the App in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms
Account Registration and Security
To use certain features, you must create an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time using the App’s account deletion feature.
Authentication Methods
You may sign in using:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
If you use social sign-in, we receive basic account information (such as your name and email address) from that provider to create or link your account.
Event Registration and Tickets
- Event registration in the App is completed by entering a conference or event code.
- No payment is collected inside the App.
If an event requires a ticket:
- The App may provide a link to the event organizer’s or a third-party website
- Ticket purchases are completed outside the App
- Conphere does not process payments and is not responsible for ticket transactions
In-App Messaging and User Content
The App allows users to:
- Send and receive in-app messages (1:1 and group chats)
- Submit feedback for sessions or speakers
- Share other user-generated content within the App
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content, you grant Conphere a non-exclusive license to use it solely to operate and display App features (such as chats, feedback, and attendee lists).
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, or violates the rights of others.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to access or interfere with the App’s systems
- Impersonate others
- Disrupt or misuse in-app messaging or event features
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Third-Party Links and Services
The App may include links to third-party websites or services (such as event ticketing websites or external profiles).
We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
Intellectual Property
All rights in the App, including software, design, and branding, are owned by or licensed to Conphere.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your use of the App causes harm to the App or other users
- We are required to do so by law
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conphere is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be made available in the App. Continued use of the App means you accept the revised Terms.
